Puccini Bike Tour
Between music, nature, and Puccini’s places
Torre del Lago Puccini is a small town near Viareggio, where the great composer Giacomo Puccini lived for thirty years. Its name comes from a watchtower that once stood between Lake Massaciuccoli and the sea, with the impressive Apuan Alps forming the backdrop to this unique landscape.
Our tour begins along the Viareggio promenade, a long pedestrian and cycling path lined with elegant Liberty-style buildings, beach clubs that symbolize the summer life of the area, shops, and cafés where you can relax.
We will cycle along the promenade until we reach Marina di Torre del Lago, following a route that runs alongside the famous Lecciona beach.
We will stop for a short walk to the sea and then get back on our bikes to reach Torre del Lago, where we will stroll along the lake. Upon request, it will also be possible to visit the house of Giacomo Puccini.
The return journey will follow Viale dei Tigli, lined with majestic trees that provide pleasant shade during the warmer months.
